Madison county celebrated its birthday with a dinner at Franks restaurant in Alton. On May 2nd. We all ordered from the menu and put in five dollars for the tip and meal. Also we received tickets to go to the St. Louis cardinals ball game for May 9th. We had Terry and Terry Heltsley, Jill Kelley, Diana Hill, Steve and Diana Heltsley, Kim M. The game was against the Pirates. The St. Louis cardinals won the game with the score of 17-4.
In June Madison county Association of the blind. Some members of our affiliate went to Alton little Theater. Some of the same members go to the muny in st.louis and watch an outside play
In July we celebrate the Fourth of July with a indoor picnic. We played bingo we had a auction and a fifty/fifty drawing. The members attending where the president and his wife, the vice president, treasurer Steve Heltsley and his wife Diana Heltsley, our secretary Terry Heltsley his wife and board member Terry Hogan-Heltsley, board member Diana Hill, Rodger Bushnell, Jill Kelley and Erin Whitehead we had other members present that are not listed above I did not have permission to list all names. We also had helpers to help serve the food. Our menu consist hamburgers hotdogs, potato salad, slaw, baked beans, corn on the cob, cake, apple pie, and a Watergate salad. Everyone went home with a door prize of some sort.
