To: All ICB Members and Interested Others:

Attached to this email is the convention flyer that will give you an idea of what we have in store at the convention this year. Also attached is the registration form to fill out so that you can plan to join us October 3, 4, & 5 at the Sheraton Lisle Hotel, 3000 Warrenville Road, Lisle, Illinois for the 2014 Illinois Council of the Blind (ICB) convention. The room rates are $95 a night plus tax. With your room you will receive a continental breakfast buffet for two.

Good friends, fun and education await you! A few things you can look forward to are: learning how to live a healthier & happier life, identity theft, self-defense, discussions of the future of the Illinois Bureau of Blind Services, beauty tips, home maintenance & repair, also a session on “battle of the phones”, the difference between IPhones and Droid cell phones. For our Friday night social we will have music and snacks. Saturday we will have exhibitors displaying the latest technology and also plenty of other items to shop around for and buy. We have a very special banquet Saturday night in store. Come soar with us October 3-5 at the 2014 ICB State Convention.

Of special importance, we have three 3-year board positions available and one 1-year board position. Also, three ACB delegate positions and three alternate delegate positions available. If you are interested in nominating anyone before the convention please email the ICB office at icb or call the office and give your nomination at 217-523-4967.
