Indoor picnic, July 6, 2017 click here
The Madison County Association of the Blind (M.C.A.B) had their annual 4th of July indoor picnic with a pizza party. The party was held on July 6th.The party was held at the wood River Township Hall, located at 33 N. 9th St. E., Alton, IL 62024. Beside
pizza we enjoyed salad with various kinds of salad dressings. We also had various kinds of soft drinks along with sweet and unsweetened tea. The room was decorated in red, white, and blue. For the holiday. The members all seemed to enjoyed this party. The main reason for that was because it was not a potluck which makes it hard for a the members to bring the dish they planned to bring on a bus.
For entertainment we played buddy bingo which means when you bingo the person to your right and left also wins. We would like to say thank you to Erin Whitehead who is not a member for helping giving some people their drinks and food along with regular members for helping other members. Also thanks Erin for your help in putting all the chairs away. Also thanks to all members with the clean up of the meeting hall.
We also had two visitors who want to be members of the M. C.A.B.at the picnic and they too also enjoyed the pizza and told me they liked the way the room was set up. Everyone seemed to enjoyed this and hopefully we can do the same thing next year. Terry Hogan-Heltsley
